Types of IELTS
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test that measures the language proficiency of those who want to study or work in environments where English is used as a language of communication. There are two modules to choose from: IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training.
IELTS Academic
To study at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
To join a professional organisation or registration in an English-speaking country.
IELTS General Training
To work or undertake work-related training in an English-speaking country.
To immigrate to an English-speaking country.
To study or train at below degree level.
International English Language Teaching System
is a test to measure your ability to communicate in academic English. It measures all 4 skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. The full score is 9.0 (from the experience asked. Most Thai people get an overall score of 5.5-6.5, most international children get 7.0-7.5, while most Thai faculties require 6.5 or more).
There is no such thing as failing/passing IELTS. There are only more or less points. The important thing is that the points you have pass the criteria of the faculty or university you want to enter or not? Most students take exams to study for bachelor/master’s degrees. Internet sector in Thailand or study abroad (Especially England, Australia, New Zealand) or some people take IELTS to make foreign visas.
